1,3, 2, 4-didroxy-is an organic compound with the molecular formula C9H6O5.
Nature:
-Appearance: 1,3, 2,4-dihydroxy-yellow to orange-yellow solid.
-Solubility: can be dissolved in many organic solvents, such as ethanol, ether and dichloromethane, insoluble in water.
-Melting point: About 200-205 degrees Celsius.
Use:
- 1,3, 2,4-dihydroxy-can be used as intermediates in organic synthesis reactions.
-It can also be used to prepare dyes, pigments and fluorescent dyes.

Method:
- 1,3, 2,4-dihydroxy-is usually obtained by oxidation of terephthalic acid.
