6-(Trifluoromethyl)-1-hydroxy-1H-benzotriazole - Introduction
1-hydroxy-6-(trifluoromethyl)benzo-triazole is an organic compound with the chemical formula C8H5F3N4O.
Nature:
1-hydroxy-6-(trifluoromethyl)benzo-triazole is a white crystalline solid with the characteristics of benzotriazole compounds. It is stable at room temperature, but may produce toxic gases at high temperatures and fire sources.
Use:
1-hydroxy-6-(trifluoromethyl) is benzo-triazole used in the synthesis of cis-trans isomers of dyes in the pigment and dye industry, and can also be used in coupling reactions and catalytic reactions in organic synthesis.
Method:
1-hydroxy-6-(trifluoromethyl)benzo-triazole are generally prepared by chemical reaction of benzotriazole. One of the commonly used methods is the reaction of benzotriazole with trifluoromethyl acid followed by hydroxylation.
Safety Information:
1-hydroxy-6-(trifluoromethyl)benzo-triazole are generally stable and relatively safe under normal conditions of use. However, it may be irritating to the eyes, skin and respiratory tract, so appropriate protective measures should be taken during operation, such as wearing protective glasses, gloves and respirators. In addition, should be away from fire and high temperature environment, avoid contact with strong oxidants. If inhaled or ingested by mistake, seek medical attention immediately.
