Use | 5-acetyl-1, 1,2,3,3, 6-hexamethyl-1, indene 2-dihydrate is white needle-like crystal, with Musk aroma, insoluble in water, soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol. With p-isopropyl toluene as raw material, condensation reaction with tert-amyl alcohol in the presence of sulfuric acid, and then acetylation reaction with Chloroacetyl. As a fixative, it can be well coordinated with sandalwood oil, cedar oil and ionone. Widely used in soap and cosmetics. |
production method | prepared by condensation reaction and acetylation reaction using isopropyl toluene and tert-amyl alcohol as raw materials. |
