Diamminebis(oleato-O)zinc is usually a white to yellow solid, insoluble in water but soluble in organic solvents such as benzene and ethanol. It is relatively stable in air, but decomposes at high temperatures. This compound is soluble in some organic solvents and forms coordination bonds in which two laurate ligands and two amino ligands are complexed to a zinc ion at one center.
