Preparation Method:
7-methoxy-3,7-dimethyloct-1-ene can be synthesized by the following methods:
Methoxy methyl acetate is obtained by reacting methanol with dimethyl acetic anhydride.
-Methoxy methyl acetate is reacted with n-butyl lithium to obtain methyl methoxy acetate lithium salt.
-The lithium salt is reacted with 3-bromo-3, 7-dimethyl-1-octene to give 7-methoxy-3,7-dimethyloct-1-ene.
