use | isononanol (INA) is mainly used to produce high molecular weight phthalate plasticizers such as diisononyl phthalate (DINP). With the gradual recognition of the safety of DINP in the market, DINP is an environmentally friendly substitute for low molecular weight phthalate plasticizers such as dioctyl phthalate (DOP), and its demand is growing rapidly. It is widely used in industrial fields such as automobiles, cables, floors, and buildings. |
development prospect | at present, there are few varieties of plasticizer alcohols in China, only n-butanol, isobutanol and octanol, while other plasticizer alcohols such as isononanol, isodecanol and 2-propylheptanol are only produced in small quantities, and the market demand is basically met by imports. Therefore, the development and production of isononanol, isodecanol, 2-propylheptanol and other high carbon plasticizer alcohol prospects are promising, is the development direction of plasticizer alcohol. The future development of isononanol depends on the degree of substitution of DINP and DINCH for DOP. At present, Europe has completely banned the use of DOP, DBP and BBP plasticizers in children's plastic toys. The United States has also stipulated a permanent ban on the production and sale of children's products containing DOP, DBP and BBP with a mass fraction of more than 0.1%. Although it is still difficult to judge the fate of DOP in developing countries, the trend that DOP is replaced by other plasticizers with better performance is irreversible. It is foreseeable that the future development prospects of DINP should be optimistic. As the world's largest toy exporter, China's DINP market is worth looking forward to. China should speed up the adjustment of plasticizer product structure. |
