(S,S)-( )-1,2-Bis[(o-methoxyphenyl)(phenyl)phosphino]ethane(1,5-cyclooctadiene)rhodium(I) tetrafluoroborate is an organo-rhodium complex. The following is a description of its nature, use, formulation and safety information:

- (S,S)-( )-1,2-Bis[(o-methoxyphenyl)(phenyl)phosphino]ethane(1,5-cyclooctadiene)rhodium(I) tetrafluoroborate is a light-sensitive orange solid.

Use:
- (S,S)-( )-1,2-Bis[(o-methoxyphenyl)(phenyl)phosphino]ethane(1,5-cyclooctadiene)rhodium(I) tetrafluoroborate can be used to catalyze asymmetric reactions, especially asymmetric hydrogenation reactions and asymmetric
Alkaline oxidation reaction.

Preparation Method:
- (S,S)-( )-1,2-Bis[(o-methoxyphenyl)(phenyl)phosphino]ethane(1,5-cyclooctadiene)rhodium(I) tetrafluoroborate are generally prepared by a ligand exchange reaction.
-In the preparation process, first (S,S)-( )-1,2-bis (diphenylphosphino)ethane and 1,5-cyclooctadiene are reacted with chlorotetrafluoroborate ether solution to obtain the corresponding Chloride complex. Then, under alkaline conditions
(o-methoxyphenyl) triphenylphosphine was added to cause ligand exchange reaction with the chloride complex to obtain the target product.
