80907-56-8 - Introduction
[Ru(bpz)3][PF6]2([Ru(bpz)3][PF6]2) is a coordination compound with the following properties:
1. appearance: usually orange solid.
2. Melting point: about 200°C.
3. Solubility: high solubility in common organic solvents.
4. Stability: relatively stable under general conditions, but photodegradation occurs under light conditions.
5. magnetic: belongs to the low spin complex, does not have obvious magnetism.
[Ru(bpz)3][PF6]2 has a variety of applications in chemistry and materials science, including:
1. optoelectronics: can be used for the preparation of organic light-emitting diodes (OLED) and other optoelectronic devices.
2. photocatalyst: It can be used as a catalyst for photocatalytic reactions, such as light electrolysis of water to produce hydrogen.
3. fluorescent probe: can be used for cell imaging and fluorescent probe in the field of biomedicine.
Preparation Method:[Ru(bpz)3][PF6]2 is usually prepared by a synthetic solvothermal reaction. In general, conversion to [Ru(bpz)3][PF6]2 is achieved by reacting (2,2 '-bipyrazine) ruthenium chloride with ammonium chloride isopropanolate in a solvent, followed by addition of a hexafluoroboric acid solution.
Safety information:[Ru(bpz)3][PF6]2 is relatively safe and stable under normal use conditions. However, care should be taken to avoid using excessive amounts of hexafluoroborate because of its irritating effect on the skin and eyes. At the same time, for all chemicals, correct operating procedures must be observed, and protective gloves and eye protection must be worn. If there is a mistake or accident, should immediately seek medical attention.
