Physical and Chemical Properties | This product is a colorless solid, insoluble in water, soluble in organic solvents. |
Use | 2-(4-ethoxyphenyl)-2-methylpropanol is an intermediate of pyrethroid pyrethroids. |
production method | the preparation method is to add anhydrous ethyl ether and lithium aluminum hydride in a three-necked bottle, 2-(4-ethoxyphenyl)-2-methylpropionic acid and anhydrous ether solution were slowly added dropwise under stirring, and the mixture was dropped for about 3H, stirred for 2H at room temperature, and added with ethyl acetate dropwise, after completion of the dropwise reaction for 15min, 2mol/L sulfuric acid was added dropwise, the layers were separated, and the ether layer was washed with 10% sodium hydroxide, then washed with water, dried, and the ether was removed under reduced pressure to obtain the product. |
