Use:
Carbamic acid, [(2R)-2-amino-3-phenylpropyl]-, phenylmethyl ester, monohydrochloride is mainly used as an amino protective agent in organic synthesis. It can prevent unnecessary interference of the amine group during the reaction process, and can reduce the amine group by deprotection operation when necessary.
Preparation Method:
Carbamic acid, [(2R)-2-amino-3-phenylpropyl]-, phenylmethyl ester, monohydrochloride can be prepared by the following steps:
1. (R)-2-amino -3-phenyl propanol reacts with benzoic acid and dimethyl dehydrogenase (DCC) in dichloromethane to produce (R)-2-benzoic acid oxyethyl ester -3-phenyl propanol.
2. The resulting ester reacts with N-catecarbime under alkaline conditions to generate N-Cbz-(R)-2-benzoic acid oxyethyl ester -3-phenyl propanol. The product is then reacted with trichloroformic acid to produce the Carbamic acid, [(2R)-2-amino-3-phenylpropyl]-, phenylmethyl ester, monohydrochloride.
Safety Information:
- Carbamic acid, [(2R)-2-amino-3-phenylpropyl]-, phenylmethyl ester, monohydrochloride safety data is limited, please read relevant literature and safety data sheets provided by production suppliers before use.
