overview | tetrahydro-2H-pyran-3-formic acid is a relatively important pharmaceutical intermediate. Compounds having the tetrahydropyran ring as the central part of the molecule play an important role in organic chemistry, for example as components of natural or synthetic flavor substances, drugs or mesogenic (mesogenic) or liquid crystalline compounds, or as precursors for the synthesis of these useful substances. For example, tetrahydro-2H-pyran-3-formic acid is a good insect trap after esterification. In the prior art, the preparation method of tetrahydro-2H-pyran-3-formic acid is mainly as follows 1 kind: 1) Using acrolein as the starting material, in toluene and water, using acid as the catalyst, 5, 6-dihydro-2-H pyran-3-formaldehyde is obtained. Then the aldehyde group was oxidized to the carboxyl group with silver nitrate to give 5, 6-dihydro-2-H pyran-3-carboxylic acid. The final product is obtained by catalytic hydrogenation of palladium/alumina. This method is documented in journal literature. However, the silver nitrate used in this method is very expensive and costly, so it is not suitable for industrial production. |
