It is obtained by chlorination of o-xylene through benzene ring. Add o-xylene and carbon tetrachloride to a glass-lined reaction pot, add cooked iron wire as a catalyst, start to introduce chlorine at room temperature and micro negative pressure, control the temperature below 40 ℃, take out the cooked iron wire after 1h, continue to pass chlorine, and maintain the temperature at about 70 ℃ to react to the end point, which takes about 17h.
