pharmacological effects | ioversol is a new type of triiodo-containing hypotonic nonionic contrast agent, due to the high iodine content, the X-ray attenuation, can make the path of the vascular imaging clear until after dilution. After rapid intravenous injection, the concentration of iodine in the blood immediately rose to a peak, then rapidly decreased within 5 to 10 minutes, and reached equilibrium with the extracellular space at 20 minutes. After intravenous injection for 15 to 120 seconds, the contrast between normal and abnormal tissues increased to the maximum extent, because dynamic CT scanning at 30-90 seconds after injection can improve the enhancement effect and diagnostic efficiency. |
Non-ionic contrast media | , iodixanol is a kind of nonionic contrast agent of triiodobenzene ring, which is commonly used in imaging diagnosis at present. Its chemical structure is triiodobenzene ring, and it has three hydrophilic groups. Iohexol, iodinol, iophorol have 6 hydroxyl groups, there are 5 iopamidol, iopromide has 4. Because of the iodine, high density contrast agent, in the X-ray film or Ct film containing the local density of the contrast agent, can be enhanced, help to diagnose. Because of low osmotic pressure and low molecular intrinsic toxicity, the incidence of adverse drug reactions of nonionic contrast agents is lower than that of ionic contrast agents. For all kinds of whole body angiography, CT enhanced scan, urinary tract and body cavity angiography.|
indications | ioversol is mainly used for various angiographic examinations, including cerebral angiography, peripheral artery angiography, splanchnic artery, renal artery and aorta angiography, Cardiovascular angiography including coronary angiography, the number of arteries and veins word subtraction angiography. Intravenous excretory urography and head and body CT enhanced scan. |
dosage | 1. Various angiography (including DSA) and cardiac imaging. The concentration of 300~370 mgI/ml can be selected, depending on the thickness of the blood vessel and the location, high concentration, blood vessels can be relatively clear, but viscosity and permeability increased, easy to cause adverse reactions. DSA is a digital subtraction, vascular imaging by other organizations less interference, the contrast agent can be diluted according to the circumstances, can be used 150~370 mg I/ml. The dose depends on the location of the contrast, can be used 5~80 ml/times, can be multiple contrast, but the total dose should not exceed 1.5G I/kg body weight. 2. CT enhanced scan, for the whole body system and various organs of the CT enhanced scan. Concentration with 1.0 mg I/ml, dose 2.0 ~/kg, intravenous bolus injection rate of 2~5ml/second. Urography, including intravenous urography, retrograde urography, and percutaneous pyelography. The concentration was 300mg I/ml or 370mg I/ml, and the dose was 30-50ml. 4. Body cavity radiography, including arthrography, cholangiopancreatography, fistula radiography, T-tube radiography, myelography, etc. The concentration was 300mg I/ml, and the dose was determined according to the needs of the examination. This information was edited by chemical book Xiaonan (2015-08-03). |
note | 1. Keep enough water in the patient's body before angiography. 2, the patient should be observed after 1 hours, because of occasional delayed response. 3, non-ionic contrast agent including iophorol, inhibition of blood coagulation is weak, so when doing angiography, the operation steps, the length of time, the number of injections, catheter and syringe materials should be paid attention to, as far as possible to shorten the blood and syringe, catheter contact time, in order to prevent possible blood clotting phenomenon. 4, if the use of corticosteroids as a preventive drug, contrast agent and corticosteroids for chemical incompatibility, it can not be mixed in the same syringe. |
biological activity | Ioversol is an organic iodine compound used as a radiographic contrast agent. |
