11 α,17 α,21-trihydroxypregnoster-4-ene-3 can be used, 20-diketone (I. e. epihydrocortisone) is acetylated by (21-hydroxy), (11-hydroxy) sulfonylation and elimination [formation of 9(11)-double bond], (17 α-Hydroxy) acetylation, [9(11)-double bond and hypobromic acid] addition to obtain the product.
