93634-87-8 - Introduction
tert-butyl(dicyclohexyl)phosphane is an organic phosphorus compound. Its chemical formula is [(CH3)3C]PCy2, wherein (CH3)3C represents a tert-butyl group and Cy represents a cyclohexyl group.
The nature of the tert-butyl(dicyclohexyl)phosphane is as follows:
1. Appearance: white solid.
2. Melting point: about 140-145°C.
3. Solubility: Soluble in common organic solvents, such as ether, chloroform and toluene.
tert-butyl(dicyclohexyl)phosphane is mainly used for catalytic reactions in organic synthesis. It can be used as a substrate, ligand or catalyst intermediate, participating in different types of organic chemical reactions. tert-butyl(dicyclohexyl)phosphane are commonly used in Suzuki coupling reactions, nucleophilic substitution reactions, and olefin cyclization reactions.
A common method for preparing tert-butyl(dicyclohexyl)phosphane is to obtain [(CH3)3C]PH2 by reacting organic phosphoric acid with tert-butyl magnesium chloride, and then reacting with cyclohexyl borate to obtain the target product. The preparation process needs to be carried out under an inert atmosphere.
The following safety information is required when using or preparing tert-butyl(dicyclohexyl)phosphane:
1. tert-butyl(dicyclohexyl)phosphane may be irritating to the eyes, skin and respiratory tract, please wear appropriate protective equipment, such as glasses, gloves and gas mask.
2. avoid contact with flammable, away from the fire.
3. storage should be sealed, dry and away from oxidants.
Please note, however, that this is only an overview. In actual use, it is also necessary to refer to specific chemical literature and relevant safety data, and strictly abide by the safety operation procedures of chemical laboratories.
