ACETAMIDE,N-METHOXY- - Introduction
N-Methoxyethanamide(N-Methoxyethanamide), chemical formula C4H9NO2, is an organic compound.
Nature:
-Appearance: Colorless liquid.
-Density: about 1.02g/cm³.
-Boiling point: about 134-135°C.
-Melting point: approximately -15°C.
-Solubility: Soluble in many organic solvents, such as ethanol, ether and dichloromethane.
Use:
- N-methyl imine synthesis: It can be used as an effective solvent for the synthesis of N-methyl imine catalyzed by formic acid.
-drug synthesis: can be used for drug synthesis in the substitution reaction and reduction reaction.
-Solvents and intermediates: Commonly used as a solvent for industrial products such as paints, glues and cleaners, and can also be used as an intermediate for the synthesis of certain compounds.
Preparation Method:
N-Methoxy-N-acetylhydroxylamine can be prepared by the following method:
- N-acetylhydroxylamine reacts with methyl iodide to give N-methoxy-N-acetylhydroxylamine.
