Alcoholamine - Names and Identifiers
Alcoholamine - Introduction
Alcoholamine(Alcoholamine) is a class of organic compounds containing both amino (-NH2) and hydroxyl (-OH) functional groups in the molecule. They can be divided into primary Alcoholamine, secondary Alcoholamine and tertiary Alcoholamine according to the position of the hydroxyl group.
Properties of the Alcoholamine:
1. Alcoholamine has the existence of hydrogen bonds, which leads to greater intermolecular interactions, so they have higher boiling points and solubility.
2. Due to the amino functional group, Alcoholamine is alkaline and can react with acid to generate the corresponding salt.
3. Alcoholamine has good solvent properties and can dissolve water-insoluble substances.
The purpose of Alcoholamine:
1. Alcoholamine is commonly used as a solvent, emulsifier and surfactant.
2. They can also be used for the preparation of dyes, coatings, pesticides, softeners, metal corrosion inhibitors and other chemicals.
3. Alcoholamine is used as an amide surfactant in the petroleum industry for detergents, devapors and scale inhibitors.
Preparation of Alcoholamine:
In General, Alcoholamine can be prepared by reacting ammonia (NH3) with aldehydes or carboxylic esters. Commonly used preparation methods include diazotization reduction method, Amine and anhydride reaction method, chlorinated alkane and ammonia reaction method.
Alcoholamine's safety information:
1. Alcoholamine is easy to absorb moisture in humid air, and should be sealed and preserved in case of water or humid air.
2. Alcoholamine is irritating and corrosive. Personal protective equipment should be worn during use to avoid contact with skin and eyes.
3. During storage and operation, contact with incompatible substances such as oxidants, acids and organic chlorine compounds should be avoided to avoid dangerous reactions.
4. Alcoholamine should be kept away from fire and high temperature environment to avoid the risk of fire and explosion. In case of leakage, appropriate emergency measures shall be taken promptly, and the treatment and disposal shall be carried out in accordance with the corresponding regulations.
