preparation | borane (1M THF solution, 68ml,67.8mmol) was added dropwise to a cooled (0 ℃) THF(7ml) solution of cyclobutylnitrile (5.0g,61.6mmol) under nitrogen. The mixture was warmed to room temperature and heated to reflux for 17 h. The mixture was then cooled to 0°C and quenched by the addition of MeOH(81ml). Warm the mixture to room temperature and remove the solvent. The substance was redissolved in MeOH(50ml) and acidified with concentrated hydrochloric acid. HCl(50ml) was added, and then heated and refluxed for 2 hours. Remove the solvent and grind the residue with Et 2 O to filter out white powder (4.51g). |
