BOC-L-DIPHENYLALANINE - Introduction
Boc-L-phenylalanyl-phenylalanine is an organic compound with the chemical formula C19H23NO4. It is a white crystalline solid, stable at room temperature, soluble in some organic solvents such as dimethylformamide and dichloromethane.
Boc-L-phenylalanyl-phenylalanine is commonly used as a protecting group for amino acids, and its main use is as one of the methods for protecting the carboxyl group of amino acids in organic synthesis. It can protect the amino group in the carboxyl group of the amino acid and deprotect it when necessary, thereby controlling the selectivity of the reaction. This makes it widely used in the synthesis of peptides, proteins and drugs and other fields.
The method for preparing Boc-L-phenylalanyl-phenylalanine generally comprises reacting L-phenylalanine with tetramethyldihydrofuranyl carbonate, and then adding an acid for hydrolysis to obtain the target product.
Regarding safety information, Boc-L-phenylalanyl-phenylalanine does not pose a direct hazard to humans under normal conditions of use. However, it is still a chemical that needs to be handled and stored properly to avoid contact with the skin, eyes and respiratory tract. Wear appropriate protective equipment such as lab gloves, safety glasses and protective face masks during use. In addition, it should be operated in a well-ventilated environment to avoid inhalation of aerosols or dust. In case of contact or inhalation, rinse immediately with water and seek medical help.
