Bis(2-chloroethyl)-N-(tert-butoxycarbonyl)aMine - Introduction
N,N-bis (2-chloroethyl) carbamic acid tert-butyl ester (also known as: bis tert-butyl carbamate, English name: Di(2-chloroethyl)aminoethyl ester of tert-butylcarbamate) is an organic compound whose chemical formula is C10H20Cl2N2O2.
tert-Butyl N,N-bis (2-chloroethyl) carbamate is a colorless to pale yellow liquid with a pungent odor. It is soluble in alcohol, ether and aromatic hydrocarbons, insoluble in water. It is relatively stable at room temperature.
N,N-bis (2-chloroethyl) carbamic acid tert-butyl ester is commonly used as a chemical intermediate in the pharmaceutical field. It is a commonly used ether amino acid ester anesthetic drug, widely used in medical surgery, especially in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery as an anesthetic drug.
The preparation of tert-butyl N,N-bis (2-chloroethyl) carbamate is usually carried out by chloroethylation and aminolysis reactions. First, vinyl chloride and triethylamine are reacted to obtain N,N-diethylamine dichloroethane, which is then reacted with tert-butanol carbonate to obtain the final product.
With regard to safety information, t-butyl N,N-bis (2-chloroethyl) carbamate should be handled in accordance with safe practices for chemicals. It is an irritant substance and may be harmful to the skin, eyes and respiratory system. Appropriate personal protective measures should be taken during use or handling, such as wearing protective gloves, glasses and respirators. At the same time, attention should be paid to proper storage and avoid reaction with oxidants, strong acids, strong bases, etc. If necessary, further risk assessment and control should be carried out.
