Physical and Chemical Properties | Colorless or white crystalline powder, odorless, gradually discoloration when exposed to light. Melting point 140-141 ℃. Soluble in chloroform, soluble in dilute hydrochloric acid, ethanol, ethyl acetate, insoluble in water, benzene, acetone, extremely insoluble in ether. |
Use | Suitable for the treatment of angina pectoris, myocardial infarction (except acute phase), chronic coronary artery insufficiency and other diseases |
In vivo study | Molsidomane (100,250 μg/kg) reduced coronary blood flow but did not affect coronary resistance. Molsidene reduced myocardial oxygen consumption. Heart rate and contractility are not affected by them. After treatment with molsidoman, the cardiac stroke volume and cardiac output decreased, venous return decreased due to the decrease in cardiac output, and blood pressure decreased immediately thereafter. |
