toluene, formaldehyde in the presence of sulfuric acid condensation, after extraction, neutralization, distillation, filtration, cut 285~310 deg C fraction as a product.
This product is used as a high temperature heating carrier.
overview | di-p-tolylmethane is a hydrocarbon compound that can be used as a high boiling point organic solvent. |
preparation method | general/typical procedure: add Pd/C(20%,200mg) to methanol (20mL) solution of diarylketone (10.0mmol). The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 16 hours in a hydrogen atmosphere. The solvent was removed under reduced pressure, and the product was purified by silica gel rapid column chromatography with pentane as eluent. Two-p-tolyl methane refers to the above method, the yield is 94%, white solid. |
production method | [preparation method] toluene and formaldehyde are condensed in the presence of sulfuric acid, extracted, neutralized, distilled, filtered, and cut 285~310 ℃ fractions as products. |
