introduction
Demulsifier is a kind of chemical agent that can destroy the emulsion. It is essentially a surface active substance, which can destroy the structure of the emulsified liquid to achieve the purpose of separating the phases in the emulsion. Crude oil demulsification refers to the use of the chemical action of the demulsifier to separate the oil and water from the emulsified oil-water mixture to achieve the purpose of crude oil dehydration, so as to ensure the water content standard of crude oil export.
types of commonly used demulsifiers
Three types of demulsifiers commonly used at present:
1.SP demulsifier: the demulsifier has stronger demulsification ability to crude oil emulsion. Another reason why SP demulsifiers are suitable for paraffin-based crude oil is that paraffin-based crude oil does not contain or contains little colloid and asphaltene, and has less lipophilic surfactant and less relative density. For crude oil with high colloid and asphaltene (or water content greater than 20%), SP demulsifier has weak demulsification ability because of single molecular structure, no branched chain structure and aromatic structure.
2. AP type demulsifier: AP type structure demulsifier is used for demulsification of paraffin-based crude oil emulsion, and its effect is better than SP type demulsifier. It is more suitable for crude oil demulsification with crude oil moisture content higher than 20%, and can achieve rapid demulsification effect under low temperature conditions.
3. AR demulsifier: AR demulsifier is characterized by small molecules and good dissolution, diffusion and penetration effects when the freezing point of crude oil is higher than 5 ℃, which promotes flocculation and coalescence of emulsified water droplets and can be below 45 ℃.
application
The demulsifier can destroy the stability of the emulsion, make the dispersed phase gather and precipitate the compound from the emulsion. In chemical production, demulsifiers can be used to recover raw materials or products that do not participate in the reaction in the emulsion. It can also be used for dehydration and viscosity reduction of crude oil in oil fields.
mechanism of action
The demulsifier mainly uses the mechanism of adsorption, electric neutralization, sediment net capture, etc., to destabilize the fine suspended particles and colloidal ions in the water, aggregate, coagulate, and precipitate to achieve the effect of demulsification and separation.
use
Demulsifier is a compound agent specially suitable for produced water treatment in polymer areas of oil fields. The agent has a variety of water treatment capabilities such as demulsification and dehydration, oil-water separation, flocculation and water purification, and has a small dosage and good effect. Aiming at the characteristics of high viscosity of produced sewage in the polymer injection area, serious oil-water emulsification, strong ability to carry suspended solids, large resistance to floating or sinking of oil droplets and solid particles, and serious adsorption loss to chemical treatment agents, it is effectively solved Key technical problems such as difficulty in demulsification of produced water-oil emulsion and slow oil-water separation in the polymer injection area.
