DibromonickeL - Introduction
Dibromonickel, diphenyl is also known in phosphanium chemistry as Dibromonickel, diphenyl phosphanium. The following is an introduction to some of its properties, uses, methods and safety information:
Nature:
-Appearance: Common forms are white or off-white crystalline solids.
-Solubility: Soluble in organic solvents such as benzene, carbon disulfide and ethanol.
-Melting point: The melting point is higher, about 190-200°C.
Use:
-Catalyst: In organic synthesis reactions, Dibromonickel (diphenyl)phosphanium are often used as catalysts, especially in dehydrogenation and cross-coupling reactions.
-Metal organic chemistry: It is also commonly used in the synthesis of metal organic compounds.
Preparation Method:
Dibromonickel, the synthesis of diphenyl phosphanium is usually divided into two steps:
1. synthesis of diphenylphosphinoethylene: diphenylphosphine (diphenylphosphine) is reacted with vinyl halide to generate diphenylphosphinoethylene (diphenylphosphinylethene).
2. Reaction of diphenylphosphine ethylene with nickel bromide: The prepared diphenylphosphine ethylene is reacted with nickel bromide to obtain the final product Dibromonickel, (diphenyl)phosphanium.
Safety Information:
- Dibromonickel, (diphenyl)phosphanium has less specific toxicity information, so it needs to follow general laboratory safety procedures when used, using protective equipment such as laboratory gloves and goggles.
-Depending on its chemical properties, it may have an irritating effect on the skin, eyes and respiratory system.
-During handling and storage, care should be taken to prevent contact with oxygen and moisture to avoid fire or explosion.
