Abstract:
using lauric acid, sodium hydroxide, zinc chloride as raw materials, the optimum conditions of synthesizing zinc laurate by double decomposition method were studied: the first step saponification reaction, sodium hydroxide excess 10% (mass fraction), temperature 80 ℃, reaction 1.5 h; The second step of double decomposition reaction, zinc chloride excess 20% (mass fraction),pH value 5~6, rapid stirring, constant temperature 80 ℃. After testing, the mass fraction of lauric acid in zinc laurate is 1%, the mass fraction of zinc is 13.5% ~ 15.5%, and the melting point is (128±5)℃, which all meet the standard; there are two IR characteristic peaks of zinc laurate between 1 R-COO -1 and 1-1, and-and Zn are mainly complexed.

Abstract:
using zinc pentaerythritol and zinc laurate as vulcanization active agent, The vulcanization characteristics and physical and mechanical properties of natural rubber were investigated. The results show that pentaerythritol zinc has high vulcanization activity, which can accelerate the vulcanization rate of the compound and decrease the vulcanization activation energy, the physical and mechanical properties of the compound are low, and the wear resistance is poor. The combination of zinc pentaerythritol and zinc laurate can produce a synergistic effect of vulcanization, which can obviously improve the apparent crosslinking density of the compound, improve the anti-sulfide reversion performance, and reduce the Mooney viscosity, improve filler dispersion and reduce heat build-up and rolling resistance. The natural rubber vulcanizate containing 6.70 parts of pentaerythritol zinc and 5.56 parts of zinc laurate has better comprehensive properties than the vulcanizate containing 5.00 parts of zinc oxide, and the content of zinc is reduced by 48%.
