diammonium [[N,N'-ethylenebis[N-(carboxymethyl)glycinato]](4-)-N,N',O,O',ON,ON']hydroxyferrate(2-), also known as hydroxylated protein iron diammonium, is an organic iron compound. The following is a description of the properties, uses, preparation and safety information of the compound:
Nature:
-Appearance: Usually dark brown to black crystalline solid.
-Solubility: Soluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol.
-Stability: Stable at room temperature, but decomposable at high temperature.

Use:
-As an iron Source: diammonium hydroxy protein iron can be used as an iron source for preparing catalysts, pigments and magnetic materials with iron-containing activity.
-Biomedical applications: Due to its iron ion has good biocompatibility, hydroxylated protein iron diammonium can be used to prepare biomedical materials, such as magnetic nanoparticles, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and drug delivery systems.
Preparation Method:
The preparation of hydroxylated protein iron diammonium can be completed in two steps:
1. Synthesis of hydroxyl protein iron: Under certain conditions, iron ions react with proteins to generate hydroxyl protein iron.
2. Ammonium reaction: use ammonium salt to react with hydroxyl protein iron to produce diammonium [[N,N'-ethylenebis[N-(carboxymethyl)glycinato]](4-)-N,N ',O,O',ON,ON']hydroxyferrate(2-).
