Fenclofenacum - Introduction
Fenclofenac(Fenclofenac) is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug that belongs to the phenylacetic acid group of compounds. Its chemical formula is C15H12ClNO2 and its relative molecular mass is 281.72g/mol.
Fenclofenac is a white crystalline powder with a slight peculiar odor. It is almost insoluble in water at room temperature, but soluble in organic solvents. In addition, Fenclofenac has strong acidity.
Fenclofenac is often used as an analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic agent. It can be used to relieve pain and discomfort caused by arthritis, rheumatism, muscle pain and other inflammation. It reduces the symptoms caused by inflammation by inhibiting the activity of lipoxygenase (COX).
The method for preparing Fenclofenac is usually prepared by the reaction of phenylacetyl chloride and p-aminophenylacetic acid. First, phenylacetyl chloride is reacted with aminophenylacetic acid under basic conditions to obtain Fenclofenac. Then, a Fenclofenac crystal having a high purity is obtained through steps such as crystallization and drying.
When using and handling Fenclofenac, you need to pay attention to the following safety information: Avoid contact with skin, eyes and respiratory tract. Wear suitable personal protective equipment (e. g. gloves, goggles and protective masks) when in use. If inhaled or ingested, seek medical help immediately.
