Garjasmin - Introduction
Garjasmin(Garjasmin) is a chemical compound with the chemical name 4-(3-methylpropenyl)-2,6-dimethylbenzofuran. It is a natural product of folic acid (jasmonic acid) from the transformation of synthetic compounds.
Garjasmin has a strong floral and fruity aroma and is often used as a spice additive for flavoring, perfuming and perfume manufacturing. It can endow the product with soft floral and fruity fragrance and increase the attractiveness of the product.
The method of preparing Garjasmin can be carried out by means of synthetic chemistry. The common method is to use benzyl Grignard reagent and 2,6-dimethylbenzenone for addition reaction, followed by dehydration, acylation and other steps to obtain the target product.
