Introduction | Tribenoside (TBS), ethyl -3,5, 6-tribenzyloxy-D-glucoside, consisting of two optical isomers (α-ethyl-3, 5, 6-tribenzyloxy-d-furanglucoside) and β-form (β-ethyl-3, 5, 6-tribenzyloxy-d-furanglucoside) composition of the mixture. The drug was discovered and synthesized in the fifties of last century, and was first developed by Japan in 1999 as an oral drug for the treatment of hemorrhoids. Because of its strong fat solubility, it is easy to be absorbed by the small intestine, and the drug utilization rate is high, therefore, its clinical efficacy is greatly improved compared with other similar drugs. |
pharmacological effects | It has anti-inflammatory, anti-toxin, enhance capillary toughness, the effect of protecting the wound tissue and promoting its healing and the weak analgesic effect, combined with sphingosine, can prevent gram negative and positive bacteria. |
