L-ALANINE-1-13C - Introduction
L-Alanine-1-13C is an alanine molecule containing the 13C isotope. Its chemical properties are similar to ordinary L-alanine, except that the 13C isotope is present on one of the carbon atoms in the molecule.
L-Alanine-1-13C are widely used in nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) experiments to study the structure and dynamics of molecules. By substituting ordinary 12C atoms for 13C isotopes, the NMR spectra of molecules can be analyzed and interpreted more accurately by NMR techniques.
The method for preparing L-Alanine-1-13C can be achieved by changing the composition of the carbon source in the medium and using a carbon source containing 13C isotope for microbial fermentation or synthetic chemical methods.
