Laccerol - Introduction
1-DOTRIACONTANOL, chemical formula C32H66O, also known as 1-DOTRIACONTANOL, is a fatty alcohol. It is a colorless, odorless solid with a waxy appearance. 1-DOTRIACONTANOL is insoluble in water at normal temperature, but soluble in organic solvents such as diethyl ether, ethanol and petroleum ether.
1-DOTRIACONTANOL has many uses in practical applications. First, it can be used as a lubricant and surfactant for the manufacture of inks, lubricants, greases, waxes, and personal care products. In addition, 1-DOTRIACONTANOL can also be used as textile additives, plastic additives and coating additives to improve product performance and texture.
The preparation method of 1-DOTRIACONTANOL is mainly achieved by hydrogenation reaction. A common method of preparation is by reduction of fatty acid methyl esters or fatty acid chlorides.
When using 1-DOTRIACONTANOL, some safety precautions need to be observed. Try to avoid contact with skin and eyes, if accidentally contact, should immediately rinse with water. In addition, 1-DOTRIACONTANOL is a combustible substance and should be kept away from open flames and high temperatures, and a well-ventilated environment should be maintained during storage. At the same time, appropriate operational measures must be taken, such as wearing protective gloves and goggles. When using or storing, the relevant safety procedures should be carefully followed.
