LiOTFP - Introduction
LiOTFP(LiOTFP) is a colorless crystal with the formula LiC2F4PO4 and a molecular weight of 163.91g/mol. It is an organic lithium salt with high thermal stability and solubility.
LiOTFP is commonly used as a fluorination reagent and a reagent with strong fluorination in organic synthesis. It can be Alcohols, Ketones, aldehydes and other organic compounds fluorinated to the corresponding fluoride. In addition, LiOTFP can also be used as a catalyst in organic synthesis to promote some specific reactions.
The preparation of LiOTFP is generally obtained by reacting fluoroformic acid oxalic acid (HC(CF3)2CO2H) and phosphorus trifluoride (PF3) with lithium hydroxide (LiOH). The specific steps are as follows:
1. Stir and mix fluoroformic oxalic acid and phosphorus trifluoride in ammonia solution;
2. Adding lithium hydroxide solution, the reaction generates LiOTFP precipitate;
3. The precipitate is filtered, washed and dried to obtain pure LiOTFP.
