METHACRYLAMIDOTRIMETHYLSILANE - Risk and Safety
METHACRYLAMIDOTRIMETHYLSILANE - Introduction
2-methyl-N-(trimethylsilyl)prop-2-enamide is an organosilicon compound with the chemical formula C7H17NO1Si1. It has the following properties:
1. Appearance: Common is a colorless liquid, sometimes slightly yellow.
2. Solubility: soluble in organic solvents (such as alcohol, ether and ketone), almost insoluble in water.
3. Stability: stable at room temperature, but can be damaged by light and heat.
2-methyl-N-(trimethylsilyl)prop-2-enamide are used as follows:
1. Silane coupling agent: can react with the surface of organic materials (such as rubber, plastic, cellulose, etc.) or inorganic materials (such as glass, ceramics, etc.) to achieve good adhesion and enhance material performance.
2. Surface treatment agent: it can be used for surface treatment agent to improve the wettability, adhesion and wear resistance of the surface of the material.
3. Functional Polymer: can be used as a monomer for the synthesis of functional polymers, such as polysiloxane.
Preparation method: 2-methyl-N-(trimethylsilyl)prop-2-enamide is generally obtained by reacting trimethylchlorosilane and methacryloyl chloride.
Safety information: 2-methyl-N-(trimethylsilyl)prop-2-enamide is a flammable liquid and should be kept away from open flames or high temperatures. Use the need to take appropriate protective measures to avoid skin contact or inhalation. In case of accidental contact, flush with plenty of water and seek medical help.
