Mal-AEEA - Introduction
Mal-O2Oc-OH (maleic acid-bisphenol A- acid ester, also known as epoxy maleate phenol) is an epoxy maleate compound containing bisphenol A. Its properties are as follows:
1. Appearance: colorless or light yellow viscous liquid.
2. Solubility: Soluble in organic solvents such as toluene, diethylene glycol dimethyl ether, etc.
3. Thermal stability: polymerization reaction can be carried out at high temperature.
Mal-O2Oc-OH are commonly used in the following areas:
1. Polymer material: can be used as the basic monomer of epoxy resin to improve the heat resistance and mechanical properties of epoxy resin.
2. Coatings and adhesives: As a toughening agent for coatings and adhesives, it improves the weather resistance and bonding strength of coatings and adhesives.
3. Plastic additive: It can be used as an additive for high-performance engineering plastics such as polycarbonate and polyimide to improve the heat resistance and mechanical properties of plastics.
The main methods of preparing Mal-O2Oc-OH are:
Mal-O2Oc-OH was obtained by polycondensation of maleic acid and bisphenol A in the presence of a suitable catalyst.
Regarding safety information, the following should be noted when using and handling Mal-O2Oc-OH:
1. Protective measures should be taken when using, avoid contact with skin and eyes.
2. Operate in a well-ventilated place to avoid inhaling vapor or dust.
3. Avoid contact with strong oxidants, acids and alkalis.
4. In case of contact with skin or eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical treatment if necessary.
