uses | N-feruloyl octopamine, as ferulic acid amide compounds, has a wide range of applications in the fields of medicine and chemical industry. |
Preparation | Ferulic acid is obtained by the condensation reaction of Knoevenagel with cheap and easily available vanillin as raw material. Then N,N′-dicyclohexylcarbimide (DCC) was used as dehydrating agent, 4-dimethylaminopyridine (DMAP) was used as catalyst, and ferulic acid was reacted with Occamamide to synthesize N-feruloyl octopamine. The synthesis reaction formula is as follows: |
biological activity | N-Feruloyloctopamine, isolated from Garlic skin, is an antioxidant component. N-Feruloyloctopamine significantly reduced the phosphorylation levels of Akt and p38 MAPK. |
target | Akt p38 MAPK |
