Overview | Methylethylamine (N-methylethylamine), also known as N-methylethylamine, N-ethylmethylamine, due to its low boiling point, in order to facilitate storage, Transportation, it is generally made into hydrochloride. Methylethylamine is widely used in medicine, chemical industry and other fields. |
Preparation | 1) Preparation of methylethylamine: Add 7.5L methyl formate to the reaction kettle and cool to about 0°C. Maintain less than 10 ℃ and add 650g ethylamine dropwise. After dropping, slowly heat until reflux reaction for 4 hours. After the reaction is completed, the reaction solution is concentrated. Add toluene under reduced pressure and concentrate 250mL × 3 times each time to obtain light yellow oil. equimolar yield. 2) preparation of methylethylamine: 100g of methylethylamine, 1L of tetrahydrofuran and 200g of lithium aluminum hydride prepared according to the above method are added to the reaction kettle. Heat to reflux reaction for 10 hours. After the reaction, 500mL of concentrated hydrochloric acid was added and stirred for 12 hours. Add sodium hydroxide solid heating distillation to adjust the pH value to alkaline, add distillation column atmospheric distillation. The fraction at 34~40 ℃ was collected to obtain 24.3g of colorless oil with 30% yield. |
