In vitro study | ARP-100 (50 nM) shows a significant reduction in the total number of invasive elongations. |
Usage | ARP 100 is a potent dual inhibitor of MMP-12/MMP-13 targets, MMP-12/MMP-13 targets a family of zinc-dependent endopeptidases known to play a key role in disorders of extracellular matrix (ECM) breakdown, such as rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and osteoarthritis (OA) two main forms of arthritis. |
biological activity | ARP-100 is a potent and selective inhibitor of matrix metalloproteinase MMP-2 (IC50=12 nM). ARP-100 interacts with MMP-2 of the S1 'pocket and shows anti-invasion properties in an invasion model of matrigel in vitro. The inhibitory activity of ARP-100 against MMP-1 (>50 μm),MMP-3 (4.5 μm),MMP-7 (>50 μm) and MMP-9 (0.2 μm) was small. |
