OA-12 - Introduction
Dodecyl tertiary amine oxide (also known as dodecyl aminophenane oxide, abbreviated OXT) is a compound with a variety of chemical and biological activities.
Tertiary dodecyl oxide is a colorless to light yellow liquid with low volatility. It is a very stable compound that can exist over a wide range of temperatures and pH conditions. It has good solubility, soluble in organic solvents such as alcohols and ethers, but also soluble in water.
Dodecyl tertiary amine oxide has good surface active properties and is a non-ionic surfactant.
