PEG-THIOL - Risk and Safety
PEG-THIOL - Introduction
mPEG-Thiol,MEPG-SH(mPEG-Thiol,MEPG-SH) is a compound with the following properties and applications:
Nature:
- mPEG-Thiol is a linear polymer composed of methoxy polyethylene glycol (mPEG) and thiol (SH) groups.
-Under normal conditions, it is a solid, generally white or white-like particles.
Use:
- mPEG-Thiol has a wide range of applications in chemical and biological science research.
-It is often used as a soluble polymer matrix for the preparation of nanoparticles, polymeric micelles and other nanocarriers for drug delivery, gene delivery and other applications.
-It can also be used to modify metal surfaces, enhance the biocompatibility of metal materials, or as a reducing agent in synthetic chemistry.
Preparation Method:
-The preparation method of mPEG-Thiol is relatively simple. A common method is to react with methoxy polyethylene glycol through thiol groups.
-Generally, in an organic solvent, methoxy polyethylene glycol is reacted with a thiol reagent to obtain a mPEG-Thiol.
Safety Information:
-Under normal conditions of use, the safety of the mPEG-Thiol is relatively high, but it is still necessary to pay attention to appropriate experimental operations and personal protective measures.
-Need to operate in a well-ventilated laboratory environment.
-Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes. If there is contact, rinse with water immediately.
-When storing, store the mPEG-Thiol in a dry, cool place to avoid contact with oxygen, water and other substances.
