POLYETHYLENEIMINE - Introduction

polyethyleneimine is a polymer compound having a polypeptide bond structure. It is made by reacting ethylenediamine molecules with polyethyleneimine prepolymers. Its molecular structure contains a large number of amino functional groups, which makes it have good solubility and adsorption ability.

polyethyleneimine have the following properties and characteristics:
1. High reactivity: Because it contains a large number of amino functional groups, it can react with many organic and inorganic substances, such as acids, aldehydes, anhydrides, etc., so it has a wide range of applications in chemistry.
2. excellent solubility: can be dissolved in water, alcohol, ketone and other organic solvents, and can form a reversible colloidal material.
3. High adsorption capacity: It can adsorb and fix some ions, metal ions and organic substances for water treatment, wastewater treatment and catalytic reaction.
4. electrophilicity: due to its rich amino groups in its molecular structure, it can interact with substances with negative electricity.

polyethyleneimine has a wide range of applications in various fields, including:
1. Drug delivery system: used to prepare drug carriers to improve the adsorption, delivery and release properties of drugs.
2. Nanomaterial synthesis: as a template and stabilizer for the synthesis of nanoparticles and nanomaterials.
3. water treatment: used to remove heavy metal ions, organic substances and pigments in wastewater.

There are generally two kinds of polyethyleneimine preparation methods:
1. Chemical synthesis method: ethylenediamine and polyethyleneimine prepolymer are reacted under acidic conditions to generate polyethyleneimine.
2. continuous reaction method: ethylenediamine and polyethyleneimine prepolymer are added to the reactor at the same time, and the reaction is carried out at high temperature to obtain polyethyleneimine.
