In vitro study | Retinoblastoma-associated proteins (RbAp48) are related to Alzheimer's disease (AD), RbAp48 forms a complex with the peptide FOG-1 (friend of GATA-1) and has a role in gene transcription. However, this is an unstable complex may affect the function of RbAp48.
Perivine has a greater stable affinity for RbAp48 binding than FOG1, it might resolve the instability of the RbAp48-FOG1 complex and thus be used in AD therapy. |
Perivin - Introduction
Perivine(Pyrrolidine) is an organic compound with the chemical formula C5H11N. It is a colorless to pale yellow liquid with a pungent odor of durian flavor. Perivine is an alkaline substance that reacts with acids in water to form the corresponding salt.
Perivine has many uses. It is often used as a solvent for organic synthesis, especially for the formation of catalysts and catalytic reactions. In addition, Perivine can also be used as a surfactant, a skeleton-and stability-building agent in drug synthesis, an additive for dyes, and the like.
Perivine is mainly prepared by the hydrogenation reaction of butadiene and ammonia. First, butadiene is reacted with ammonia gas at about 60-100°C in the presence of a catalyst to form Perivine. Then, Perivine is purified and isolated by a distillation process.
When using and handling Perivine, you need to pay attention to the following safety information:
- Perivine is irritating and should avoid direct contact with skin, eyes and respiratory tract. Wear protective gloves, goggles and masks as necessary.
-Avoid contact with strong oxidants, acids and combustibles to avoid fire or explosion.
-It should be used in a well-ventilated place to avoid inhaling its vapor.
-Do not release Perivine into the environment, dispose of waste properly and comply with local environmental regulations.
