It can be prepared by the following synthetic route:
generally, 4-bromo -2-methyl phenol is obtained by bromination reaction with bromine-p-methyl phenol first, and then electrophilic substitution reaction with sodium nitrite and hydrochloric acid is performed to obtain 4-bromo -2-nitrophenol. Finally, the target product is obtained by reduction with sodium bisulfite.
