Abstract:

Using epichlorohydrin and dimethylamine as monomers, three kinds of cationic polyquaternary ammonium salt inverse demulsifiers were synthesized by reaction with different organic amine crosslinkers. The demulsification performance was evaluated by simulated ASP flooding oilfield wastewater, and the compatibility of demulsifier and inorganic flocculant was investigated. The experimental results show that when the optimal dosage of PRJ2 demulsifier is 80mg/L, the oil removal rate is 94.56% and the light transmittance of sewage is 11.7%, when the flocculant PAFS dosage is 800mg/L, the treatment effect is the best, the highest light transmittance is 77.5%, and the oil removal rate is 97.32%. The demulsifying effect of the demulsifier is better than that of other industrial conventional agents.

Polyquaternium-47 - Study on synthesis and application of a new type of quaternary ammonium salt for hair

Abstract:

In this paper, the use of cationic polymer in the shampoo system is increased in order to increase the conditioning of the shampoo, but the foaming of the shampoo is reduced and the cost is increased, A polyquaternary ammonium salt P(AM-co-NVI) with high cationic degree was designed and synthesized, in order to ensure the conditioning effect and foaming performance of the product without increasing the amount of cations. The synthesis of P(AM-co-NVI) is divided into three steps. Firstly, the intermediate N-3-chloro-2-hydroxypropyl-N was synthesized from dodecyl tertiary amine hydrochloride and epichlorohydrin, N-dimethyl dodecyl ammonium chloride (CHDDAC), then CHDDAC and vinyl imidazole (VI) synthesis of vinyl imidazole BIS quaternary ammonium salt (NVI), and finally NVI and acrylamide (AM) copolymerization synthesis of P(AM-co-NVI). The optimum conditions for the synthesis of CHDDAC are: n(ECH):n (tertiary amine hydrochloride) = 1.05:1.0, the reaction temperature is 40 ℃, the reaction time is 4H, the content of active substance (chlorohydroxypropyl) was 93.5%. The optimum conditions for the synthesis of NVI were as follows: n(VI):n(CHDDAC)= 1.2:1.0, reaction temperature 80 ℃, the yield was 80.7% when the reaction time was 12 h. The optimum conditions for synthesis of P(AM-co-NVI) were as follows: AM:NVI = 8:1, reaction temperature was 50 ℃, monomer concentration was 20%, A polyquaternary ammonium salt with high cationic degree and viscosity was synthesized by using 0.3% initiator and 5h reaction time. The structure of the product was characterized by IR, MS and NMR. NVI monomer has good surface activity, the lowest surface tension can be reduced to 36.54mN/m, and the cmc is 6.9 × 10-3mol/L. From the application of P(AM-co-NVI), it is found that the increase of the content of the quaternary ammonium salt, although the improvement of the conditioning of the shampoo, but the foaming of the shampoo is reduced, which affects the performance of the shampoo; P(AM-co-NVI) there is a certain thickening effect, so that the shampoo reaches a moderate viscosity, good use feel, good appearance, and can be achieved at a lower concentration of P(AM-co-NVI); P(AM-co-NVI) it has the effect of improving the wet and dry combing of hair, and the wet combing is improved obviously, which is better than that of commercial products, and can be achieved at a lower concentration. In general, the synthesized poly quaternary ammonium salt P(AM-co-NVI) has the effect of improving the wet and dry combing of hair, and can be applied to the shampoo formula to achieve the effect of not increasing the content of Poly quaternary ammonium salt and enhancing the conditioning performance, realize the original intention of molecular structure design.

Polyquaternium-47 - Graft polymerization of acrylamide with poly (quaternary ammonium salt)

Abstract:

A polyquaternary ammonium salt was synthesized by using epichlorohydrin and diethylamine as raw materials. The Graft polymerization of acrylamide with polyquaternary ammonium salt initiated by ammonium persulfate and isopropanol redox system was studied, the structure was characterized by IR. The effects of reaction temperature, reaction time, isopropanol concentration and ratio of raw materials on Graft polymerization were discussed.
