chlorinated polypropylene is white powder or granular products, non-toxic, moisture and volatile <0.5%, density 1.63g/cm3, melting point 100~120 ℃, softening point less than 150 ℃,150 deg C stability, thermal decomposition temperature of 180~190 deg C. The chlorine content of chlorinated polypropylene varies with the preparation method and can be as high as 65%. It is insoluble in alcohols and aliphatic hydrocarbons, and soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons, esters, ketones and other solvents. The chemical stability is good, the coating is colorless, and the swelling is not swollen after soaking in 10% NaOH and 10% HN03 aqueous solution for 14 H. Chlorinated polypropylene hardness, wear resistance, acid resistance, salt water resistance are very good. Heat resistance, light resistance and aging resistance are also good. Products with high chlorine content have flame retardant, chlorinated polypropylene with chlorine content of 20% ~ 40% has good bonding properties. At the same time, the compatibility of chlorinated polypropylene with most resins is good, especially the compatibility of the ancient horse resin, petroleum resin, resin, phenolic resin, alkyd resin, maleic acid resin, coal tar resin and so on.

The preparation method of chlorinated polypropylene is solution method and suspension method.

The solution method increases the solvent recovery process, but the product has uniform chlorination degree and good performance.
