Use | Rifamycin derivatives, the role of rifampicin resistant tuberculosis strains. The required concentration is only 1/40 of that of rifampicin. Less toxic than rifampicin. Japan uses it for the treatment of atypical tuberculosis infections. Also effective against drug-resistant leprosy. Prevention of Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection in human AIDS birds. |
