ULVWQWVFLUTPHF-UHFFFAOYSA-N - Introduction
Nature:
2,6-diaminopyridine sulfate is a white crystalline powder with a melting point of about 220-230 degrees Celsius. It is highly soluble in water and can be dissolved in acidic solutions. It is also soluble in organic solvents such as alcohols and ethers.
Use:
2,6-diaminopyridine sulfate is widely used as fluorescent substance, pH indicator, chelating agent and colloid stabilizer in chemical laboratory. It can be used to detect compounds such as metal ions, carcinogens and antibiotics. In addition, it can also be used in fields such as Optoelectronics and the pharmaceutical industry.
Method:
The preparation of 2,6-diaminopyridine sulfate can be obtained by reacting 2,6-diaminopyridine with sulfuric acid. Specifically, 2,6-diaminopyridine was dissolved in an appropriate amount of anhydrous ethanol, and then concentrated sulfuric acid was slowly added. A large amount of heat is generated during the reaction, so a cooling device is required for control. After completion of the reaction, the resulting precipitate was filtered, washed and dried to obtain 2,6-diaminopyridine sulfate.
Safety Information:
2,6-diaminopyridine sulfate is relatively stable under general conditions, but it will decompose at high temperatures and produce harmful gases such as nitrogen oxides and hydrogen sulfide. It has an irritating effect on the eyes, skin and respiratory tract, so avoid contact with skin and eyes during use, and ensure good ventilation conditions. In addition, it should also avoid contact with substances such as strong oxidants and reducing agents to avoid dangerous reactions. During storage and handling, safe handling guidelines for chemicals need to be followed.
