Z-Abu-OH - Introduction
Z-Abu-OH (Z-Abu-OH) is an organic compound with the following properties:
1. Appearance: colorless solid
2. molecular formula: C12H17NO3
3. Molecular weight: 227.27g/mol
4. Melting point: 79-83°C
5. solubility: soluble in organic solvents such as methanol and dichloromethane, insoluble in water.
Z-Abu-OH are mainly used to prepare peptide compounds or as precursors of inhibitors. It is a commonly used protecting group, in the synthesis of peptide chain can be on the nitrogen terminal amino protection, in order to avoid unnecessary reaction.
Z-Abu-OH preparation method is relatively simple, mainly through the following steps:
1. L-phenylalanine and tert-butoxycarbonyl isocyanate are reacted under alkaline conditions to produce tert-butoxycarbonyl phenylalanine.
2. The compound generated in the previous step is reacted with benzyl alcohol under acidic conditions to generate Z-Abu-OH.
Regarding safety information, the toxicity and danger of Z-Abu-OH are low, but the following should be noted:
1. avoid contact with skin, if contact with skin, should immediately rinse with plenty of water.
2. avoid inhaling its dust or vapor, and operate in a well-ventilated place.
3. storage should be sealed, away from the fire and oxidant.
