| preparation method | is prepared by direct esterification of formic acid with isopropanol. Add 1mol of formic acid, 1.2MOL of isopropyl alcohol, 0.015mol of concentrated sulfuric acid and 100ml of benzene into a three-necked flask equipped with an oil-water separator and a thermometer, and heat and reflux to react until anhydrous fraction appears, and separate the layers, after the aqueous layer was extracted with benzene, the organic layer was combined, washed with water, neutralized with sodium bicarbonate solution, dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate, distilled off the solvent, and distilled under reduced pressure to obtain the product.
