| production method | 35g(0.42mol) of thiophene and 50 ml of benzene are mixed, and 75g(0.35mol) of yellow mercury oxide and 109g(0.43mol) of iodine are alternately added in different times under stirring and cooling. Filter and wash the filter residue with ether. The washing filtrate was combined, washed with dilute sodium thiosulfate solution to remove excess iodine, dried by anhydrous calcium chloride and evaporated to remove ether and benzene, distilled under reduced pressure, and the 73 ℃(2.0kPa) fraction was collected to obtain 63-66g2-iodothiophene. Yield 72-75%. |
