amino-2-methyL - Introduction
Bis (+) lead(II) is an organolead compound with the chemical formula Pb[N(CH3)2C(CH3)2O]2.
Nature:
-Appearance: White crystalline solid or powdery substance.
-Melting point: about 70-80°C.
-Density: about 1.16g/cm³.
-Soluble in flammable solvents, but poorly soluble in water.
Use:
- Bis (Pb) lead(II) is commonly used as a lead catalyst in organic synthesis reactions, such as in carbonylation reactions.
-The compound can also be used in material research in the field of organic light-emitting diodes (OLED).
Preparation Method:
Generally, the preparation of Bis () lead(II) can be achieved through the following steps:
1. Dissolve lead (II) acetate in ethanol (anhydrous or absolute ethanol) in a reaction vessel.
2. Add dimethylamino and dimethylcodone (under alkaline conditions) to the reaction system.
3. The reaction system is stirred at room temperature for a period of time.
4. After the product is formed, it is isolated and purified by an appropriate method.
Safety Information:
Bis (lead(II)) is a toxic compound. The following safety precautions should be followed:
-Avoid inhalation, ingestion or skin contact. Wear protective gloves, glasses and dust mask when using.
-Avoid dust and solution splashing during operation.
-In the event of accidental contact or inhalation, immediately flush the affected area with plenty of water or seek medical assistance.
-Store it in a cool, dry place, away from flammables and oxidants.
